<br />I <br /> <br />~i <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, <br />November 27, 1990, at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Fifth Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, Councilmembers Rebelein, Gunderman, Larson, and Williams, <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also Present: David Childs, City Manager <br />Margaret Egan, Finance Director <br />John Kelley, Police Chief <br />Charlie LeFevere, City Attorney <br />Les Proper, City Engineer <br /> <br />Council Aqenda <br /> <br />Williams requested, Report 90-242, Renewal of Charitable Gambling <br />License for Tri-City Legion be moved to the Council Business Agenda. <br /> <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Larson, to APPROVE THE AMENDED <br />COUNCIL AGENDA. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Williams, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE AMENDED NOVEMBER 13, 1990, COUNCIL MEETING <br />MINUTES. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, with Council consent, received the minutes of the Human <br />Rights Commission - September 25, 1990. <br /> <br />Soecial Order of Business <br /> <br />Fire Marshal Mark Bishop said the New Brighton Volunteer Fire <br />Department sponsored a Fire Prevention poster contest for second through <br />fifth grade elementary students in the City. Bishop presented the two first <br />place winners, Matt Haglund and Kelly O'Neil, a $50.00 savings bond, <br />The individual class winners received B. Dalton gift certificates.
