January 10. 1989. at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building. 803 Fifth Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Benke. Councilmembers Brandt. Gunderman. Larson. and Williams. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: <br /> <br />Henry Sinda. City Manager <br />Charlie LeFevere. City Attorney <br />Les Proper. Public Works Director <br />Margaret Egan. Finance Director <br />Samantha Orduno. Assistant to the City Manager <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Moti on by Wi 11 i ams, seconded by Larson to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE DECEMBER 27, 1988, COUNCIL MEETING. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Commission Minutes - None <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Prior to making the various commission appointments. Benke asked <br />that Items #7 and #8 from the Special Order of Business section be <br />considered at this time. <br /> <br />On behalf of the City. Benke accepted a $500 donation from the Sons <br />of the American Legion. This donation will be used by the Police <br />Department in a drug education and prevention program for youths. <br /> <br />The Eagles Club donated the funds required for the purchase of a <br />snowmobile. sled and trailer for the Police Department to use at <br />Long Lake Regional Park for emergency purposes. <br /> <br />Basic Industries.
