'r <br />EXCERPT FROM JULY 1, 1981 <br />PARK BOARD MINUTES <br />V. New Business <br />A. Long Lake Joint Powers Agreement <br />Motion by Van Hatten, seconded by Dahl, to recommend the <br />proposal for adoption as presented. <br />Amendment by Van Hatten, seconded by Carlson, to change page 2, <br />number 2 of the joint powers agreement. The changes would, be <br />to add the words "and County" after "..provided at other regional" <br />and change the words "implementing agency" to the word :.. <br />"responsible." Amendment passed. <br />Amendment by Carlson,. seconded by Olson, that the Park Board <br />requests that the City Attorney be directed to draft the <br />language for the joint powers agreement that provides for the <br />City to regain control..-over the Park in the event the County <br />fails to perform its responsibilities for providing a "base" <br />level of service whether it is through a lease by City to <br />County with default termination provision, or buy-back provision <br />by City from County, or some other legal form to meet the intent <br />for City control over the park if the County defaults. Amendment <br />passed. <br />Amendment by Johnson, seconded by Van Hatten, that the first <br />sentence in number seven be changed to have the word "terminate" <br />replaced with-the words "shall be renegotiated" and in the <br />fourth line the words "unless the" be replaced with "at which <br />time this" and the word "is" be replaced with the words "will <br />be", and delete the last sentence. <br />Amendment by Van Hatten, to change the word "upon" to "after" <br />in the first sentence of number 7. Amendment failed for lack <br />of second. <br />Original amendment passed.. Original motion passed. <br />Motion by Dahl, seconded by Carlson, to accept the letter and <br />petition from the Long Lake Improvement Association. Motion passed. <br />B.. Park Board 1982 Budget Request <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Van Hatten, to send two to the <br />State and two to the National Conference. Motion passed. <br />VI. Old Business <br />C. Donation Use (.Basic .Industries & Micom) <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Carlson, to have a puppet wagon <br />with the donation money. Motion passed. <br />
