NEW BRIGHTON PARK BOARD MINUTES <br />AUGUST 4, 1982 <br />The meeting was .called to order by Chairperson Gunderman at 6:30 p.m. <br />II. Members present: All members present <br />III. Minutes of July 7, 1982 meeting were approved as submitted. <br />IV. Correspondence <br />A. Council Report <br />Schmidt gave a brief update of downtown development and stated <br />that a new Police Chief, John Kelly, had been hired. <br />B. Pat Kallio <br />Motion by Carlson, seconded by Olson to accept the Kallio letter <br />relating to the play equipment at Hansen Park. Motion carried. <br />Anderson read a second letter to the Park Board regarding the <br />Hansen play equipment. The letter was from Sandy Fetyko. <br />Motion by Van Hatten, seconded by Carlson, to accept Fetyko's <br />letter relating to Hansen Park play equipment. Motion carried. <br />• Gunderman asked the Mullaney's present if they wanted to express <br />concern of the play equipment. They said they lived on 17th Ave. <br />and know that money .has been allocated for play apparatus at Hansen <br />and want the Park Board to know that is it should be used for that <br />purpose. <br />Anderson said when the CIP is reviewed in December he will make <br />sure this matter is brought up again. <br />Anderson stated he felt it would be appropriate to respond to <br />the letters, <br />Johnson asked if this is not the item that was deferred last year. <br />Anderson said that is was. <br />Gunderman brought up the issue of the land transfer and equipment <br />to be installed at Sunny Square. <br />Anderson said the land transfer is the hold up. <br />Schmidt said a time period should be set and if not met, the issue <br />should be turned over to our attorney. <br />Anderson said we will have the man power and time this fall, we <br />• are just waiting for the transfer to be finalized, <br />Schmidt said he will see what he can do. <br />
