NEW BRIGHTON PARR BOARD <br />MINUTES <br />NOVEMBER 4, 1987 <br />I. The meeting ,was called to order at 7:30pm by Chairman <br />Johnson. <br />II. Members present: Blomquist, Carlson, Eichers, Johnson, <br />Kalina, Rose, Van Hatten, Council Representative Williams <br />Members absent: .Olson, Seward <br />III.. Minutes of October 7, 1987 <br />MOTION BY BLOMQUIST, SECONDED BY EICHERS, TO APPROVE THE <br />OCTOBER 7, 1987 MINUTES AS SUBMITTED. <br />IV. Correspondence <br />A. Council Report <br />Williams inquired of the Park Board if they would <br />like to receive the council minutes. <br />The Board decided to try it for a few months. <br />Carlson asked when the Long Lake Road construction <br />was going to begin. <br />Williams responded next year. <br />Williams informed the Park Board that the Lions Club <br />made a donation of $4,500 for Veteran's Park and $500 <br />for a satellite at the Muni. <br />Anderson said he has since gone back to the Lions <br />Club and asked them for another $4,500 toward <br />Veterans Park.. Their response seemed positive. We <br />may get it. <br />B. Long Lake Advisory Committee <br />Johnson said he wasn't present but he did talk to <br />Joann Knuth. There were very few people present <br />though they had expected many residents to be there <br />to discuss the large group picnic area. The <br />committee received a letter from Patricia Commers <br />which stated that they had no violent opposition to <br />the proposed building. <br />Carlson said the building will be called a picnic <br />pavilion, not picnic shelter because of its size. <br />
