<br />I <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof a special meeting of the New <br />Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, November 30, 1982 <br />at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 5th Avenue NW, <br />New Brighton, Minnesota <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gregg Harcus, Councilmember Roger Blomquist, <br />Jeanette Janecek <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Bob Benke, Steve Schmidt <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: <br /> <br />James W. Fornell, City Manager <br />John R. Grau, Acting Director of Finance <br />Russ Van Gompel, City Accountant <br /> <br />Council Business <br />The first order of busin~ss was awarding sale of $1,330,000 <br />general obligation water improvement bonds of 1982. Wayne <br />Burggraaff of Evenson-Dodge, Inc. gave a presentation on the <br />bids received and handed out the attached tabulation of bids. <br />Dain Bosworth, Inc. was the low bidder with an interst rate <br />of 9.668159. Mr. Burggraaff felt this was a good bid and <br />recommended that the bid be accepted. <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Janecek to waive the reading <br />and adopt a RESOLUTION AWARDING SALE OF $1,330,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION <br />WATER IMPROVEMENT BONDS OF 1982, FIXING THE FORM AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />THEREOF, PROVIDING FOR THEIR EXECUTION AND DELIVERY AND LEVYING <br />FOR THEIR PAYMENT.
