<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof a regular meeting of the New <br />Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, December 14, 1982 <br />at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 5th Avenue NW, <br />New Brighton, Minnesota <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Gregg Harcus, Councilmembers Bob Benke, <br />Roger Blomquist, Jeanette Janecek, Steve Schmidt (8:34) <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: <br /> <br />James Fornell, City Manager <br />Charles LeFevere, City Attorney <br />Maurice Anderson, Director of Parks & Recreation <br />Les Proper, Director of Public Works <br />Joan Archer, City Planner <br />Russ Van Gompel, City Accountant <br />James Winkels, Director of Community Development <br /> <br />Minutes <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist to approve the <br />minutes of November 23, 1982 as presented. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The ~1ayor with consent of the Council directed receipt of <br />the EQC minutes of November 8, 1982; the Park Board minutes <br />of December 1, 1982; and the Human Rights Commission minutes <br />of December 6, 1982. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schmidt arrived at 8:34 p.m. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br />On behalf of the City Council, the Mayor <br />presented Certificates of Commendation <br />to the following people in recognition <br />of their efforts on the City's Industrial <br />Task Force: Larry Baker, Dick Brenk, <br />Tom Doten, Mike Fredericks, Vernon Quaid, <br />Don Roux, Ed Walhoff, Dee Weaver, Joe Wolkerstorfer. <br /> <br />Certificates of <br />Commendation - <br />Industrial Task Force <br /> <br />Rev. ~uther Olson and Rev. Paul Olson, representing <br />Christ the King Lutheran Church, presented the <br />City Council with a donation in the amount of <br />$100 as a small token of their appreciation for <br />services rendered to the Church by the City. <br /> <br />Donation - Christ <br />the King Lutheran <br />Church <br /> <br />The ~~~yor, on hehalf of the City Council, accepted <br />the donation and expressed the City's appreciation <br />for the services that the Church has rendered to the City. <br />
