I!t ORDINANCE NO. 671 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO CHANGES IN THE CITY CODE, CHAPTER 21, PERSONNEL ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 21-5 THROUGH 21-67 ! ; THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON ORDAINS as follows: Section 1: New Brighton City Code Section 21-6 is amended as follows: Section 21-6 Employment Classification (2) Regular Part-Time Employee. An employee who works 20 hours or more per . week but less than 40 hours pGl week, 12 months a year in the same position. A regular part-time employee is compensated at an hourly rate of pay and shall not be eligible for employee benefits listed in Section 21.54.2. 21.56. and 21.64-69 effective January 1.2000. Regular part-time emplovees cannot combine positions to earn benefits as a rel!ular emDlovee. A rel!ular Dart-time emplovee who holds more than one position with the City shall use their primary position for calculation of benefits. Section 2: New Brighton City Code Section 21-12 is amended as follows: , i Section 21-12 Paydays and Paychecks. (2) Employees who will be absent on regular paydays due to vacation, sick leave, or leave of absence and wish to receive their checks will be required to leave a selfw addressed, stamped envelope with the €ity- Department Head. (Code 1966; Ord. i; No. 407, 12-27-77; Ord. No. 543, 7-22-86; Code of 1988). Section 21-54.1 Eligible Employees. Effective Januarv 1. 2000. regular part-time emplovees are eligible for benefits listed in Sections 21-54.2. 21-56. and 21-64-69. Regularpart,..time employees shall be credited with years of service in an eligible position to determine their accrual rate. Section 21~54.2 Holidays. (5) Regular part-time employees shall receive holiday pay if the holidav falls i within their regular schedule. i Section 3: New Brighton City Code Section 21-56 is amended as follows: Section 21~56 Accrual of Leave Benefits.
