<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 840 OF THE 1966 CODE OF ORDINANCE
<br />RELATING TO THE COLLECTION OF GARBAGE IN THE VILLAGE OF NEW
<br />BRIGHTON

<br />The village Council of the village of New Brighton does
<br />hereby orda in:

<br />SECTION 1. Section 840 of the 1966 Code of ordinance is
<br />hereby amended t.o read as follows:
<br />
<br />Section 840:00 Definitions. Whenever used. in this ordinanc ,
<br />words shall have the following meanings:
<br />
<br />Subd. 1. APP;J;oved shall mean acceptable to the Health
<br />Authority fOllowing,his determination ~s to compliance with
<br />established public health practices.
<br />
<br />Subd. 2. Health Authority. shall mean. the municipa.l Public
<br />Health Sanitarian or his authorized representative.
<br />
<br />
<br />Subd 3. Person(s) shall mean any owner, trustee, or
<br />occupant of any premise, or the owner,manager, or proprietor who~
<br />alone, jointly orseveral1y with others shall be in ownership of~'
<br />or have charge, care~rr control of, any premise.
<br />
<br />Subd. 4. premi;3e is any single or multiple residential
<br />dwelling, mobile home, commercial or industrial building, club,
<br />church, school, or other structure including all the lands thereof
<br />and any and 21.11 parcels of land void of structures of any kind.
<br />
<br />subd. 5. -public Place is any and all streets, sidewalks,
<br />boulevards, alleys, parks, public buildings, and other public
<br />ways.

<br />Subd. 6.. Garbaqe includes all putrescible organic waste
<br />rrt;aterials, including thecap.s, contain.ersor wrappers wasted along
<br />with such materials. Garbage, under this definition, is under-
<br />stood to include such domestic and/or commercial waste products
<br />as: animal excreta or carcasses and residues obt~.tned in the
<br />processing, preparation, consumption, display, sale, or storage
<br />of meat, fish, fowl, fruit, vegetables, grain, etc~

<br />Subd. 7. Rubbish includes all non-putrescrible wastemateri ls
<br />from domestic, commercial, or industrial sources. Rubbish, under
<br />this definition, is understood to include such wastes as: grass
<br />clippings, leaves, wood, wooden waste, paper, rags, shoes,clothin ,
<br />sweepings, cleanings, cans containers, junk vehicles, ashes, tires,
<br />etc., and other matter resulting from the demolition, alteration,
<br />or construction Of buildings or st)Zuctures:", or any other such
<br />substance.s which may become a nuisance.
