MAY 3, 1989 PARK BOARD MINUTES
6
It was decided that the $30,000 for trail system in 1991 be
dropped. $25,000 would be added for Innsbruck development.
$25,000 would be added for Pike Lake acquisition for 1990-
1993. $35,000 Pike Lake acquisition will be added to 1994.
Olson asked if playground equipment was needed.
.Anderson said it wouldn"t hurt to skip a year.
Olson asked if any volleyball courts were needed.
Anderson said one thing that is coming up is the JUO property
on County Road E. If we develop we will need tennis courts
and playground equipment and trail system. We can't
speculate when this will occur. Some money will come from
park dedication money but we can't anticipate that.
Johnson inquired if parking lot work was needed.
Anderson said money has been designated for all the parking
lots; they have all been done. Playground equipment is
upgraded and every park has a shelter.
Anderson said he can't see anything for 1994. We could leave
it for the community center.
Anderson said the arsenal will pay for a good portion of that.
project.
Eichers asked if softball fields were needed.
Anderson said no.
Johnson asked-about the hockey rink situation at Hansen.
Anderson said he met with the architects. They had misread
what he wanted so the plan was sent back. Should have a new
design and cost estimate in about 3 weeks. It may come back
to the Park Board in June. I should not be in the CIP
because if it is done, it will come from pull tab money or
other donations.
Olson said $35,000 should be left in for potential projects.
Johnson said maybe potential projects should be listed.
Anderson agreed.
Johnson asked if the CIP would be coming back to the Park
Board.
Anderson said probably no, this may be it. $35,000 is plenty
for 1994.
MOTION BY OLSON, SECONDED BY CARLSON, TO ACCEPT THIS CIP FIVE
YEAR PLAN AS ALTERED. MOTION CARRIED.
