December 7, 1988 Park Board Minutes
Van Hatten said yes on a structured basis.
Anderson asked Rose if the seniors had anything they would
like to see.
Rose said they are always talking about more hiking trails.
Anderson said he will try for a January meeting but if it
doesn't work it is not crucial.
Carlson asked how you would decide who to invite for the
meeting on regular programs.
Anderson said we could randomly go through the registration
cards. We also have a number of families who have been in
our programs for years.
Eichers asked if these meetings would be open to non-
residents.
Anderson said they could attend but we wouldn't make a
special effort to include them.
_.__ Kalina asked if there were any girls athletics.
Anderson said the athletic associations run them. We do
have T-Ball and Softball which involves girls.
B. Innsbruck Park Planning
4
Anderson said we have $10,000 for planting and turf projects
for 1989. Would like to wait to get input from the
homeowners. Maybe May or June. Originally thought this
winter but maybe it would be better to wait so the residents
can take part in the planning.
Ocel said it was sad to see that area levelled.
Anderson said many of the oaks in there were diseased and
others had been damaged from ATVs.
Van Hatten asked what the status of the nursing home is.
Anderson said they are still open but have hired new staff.
Van Hatten asked if they had been contacted about the park.
Anderson said that city staff have contacted them but as yet
have not had any discussion.
Carlson said he thinks it is good to wait and get the
resident input.
