February 10, 1988 Park Board Minutes
Page 4
-Noise late into the evening. Noise until lOPM is ok but
after 10PM a problem.
Anderson said some of the games may go until 11PM on week
nights and may be played 3 nights a week.
A resident asked if there would be weekend games?
Anderson said probably not. We don't have many tournaments
but Stockyard Days may be the exception.
A resident asked if there would be any 6AM games on
Saturdays.
Anderson said not if he can help it.
-More traffic. Traffic may increase and may also cause
parking problems. Some people are parking on private
property. Don't want the problem to get worse.
Anderson said we are pulling back from the property .line. We
are eliminating the barrier between the school and park
parking lot. Hope this will improve the parking problem.
There is ample parking on both sides of the streets. If
there is a problem call the police.
A resident responded that the police won't tag because it is
private property.
-Need sign. Would like one or two "No Parking" signs
installed since the police will not tag..
Anderson asked Les Proper if this could be done. Les wasn't
sure. Perhaps the city could provide the sign but don't
think it could be enforced.
Anderson said perhaps a "No trespassing" sign would be
better.
-Concerned with lights until 11PM. The current hockey lights
shine like search lights. Would it be possible to replace
the hockey lights with better lights.
Anderson said yes, we have already talked about it for next
year.
-Concerned about tree replacement.
Anderson said for everyone removed we will replace about 10.
