The proposal adds landscaping to the parking lot,the applicant has promised to <br /> adhere to lighting regulations, and the proposed construction abides by setback zoning code <br /> regulations. <br /> Howard inquired about the landscaping to the west of the new proposed parking lot and wondered <br /> if it would tie in with Brighton Village. The Environmental Protection <br /> Agency(EPA) estimates that over 40%of the nation's water bodies are polluted. The EPA <br /> mandates that municipalities help prevent pollution and consequently,the City of New Brighton <br /> is charged with developing a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan(SWPPP) for all water that <br /> enters the City's stormwater system. The City is responsible for maintaining a National Pollution <br /> Discharge Elimination Systems(NPDES)permit.
