A. Thomton, 2658 Valley View Lane, stated he felt <br />Council should defer action on the trail route to allow <br />further study in regard to the policing of the trail. <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Senden to approve Ramsey <br />County trail route through New Brighton utilizing Stinson Blvd. <br />and Mississir,e Street as a hiking and biking trail and uti: ` ? ng <br />the Minnesota Transfer railroad right-of-way for cross-country <br />skiing. <br />Mover-with consent of seconder withdrew the motion. <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Werdouschegg to approve Ramsey <br />County trail route through New Brighton as follows: <br />1. That the Minnesota Transfer railroad right-of-way <br />option be pursued as the first alternative for all <br />types of trail use. Should that be determined <br />infeasible, a second alternative, utilizing Stinson <br />Blvd. and Mississippi Street for hiking and biking, <br />and the Minnesota Transfer railway right-of-way for <br />cross-country skiing should be pursued. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Biomquist to approve <br />1979 Park Capital improvements and purchases with <br />an amendment by adding an additional $6,000 to <br />complete park improvements to Totem Pole Park. <br />A total of $108,000 is to.be transfered from the <br />fund for 1979 Park Improvements. <br />4-ayes - 1 naye (Werdouschegg) - carried <br />Park Capital <br />Improvement & <br />Equipment Purchase <br />79-396 <br />liquor <br />The City Attorney indicated that Mr. Perron Purchase of <br />was indisposed and requests that this item be Park Property <br />continued until the next meeting. Perron 79-380 <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Janecek to.defer until_June 12. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Leon Bus representing U-Haul was present to answer <br />questions. <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Werdouschegg to defer <br />action until June 12. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />U-Haul Equipment <br />Rental License <br />79-390 <br />1
