City of New Brighton <br />July 10., 1979 <br />After considerable discussion Council acted in the following <br />manner: <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Jenecek to RESOLUTION NO. 2224 <br />waive the reading and adopt the resolution <br />entitled A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY STUDY ON <br />ALTERNATE STREET ALIGNMENTS BETWEEN 8TH STREET AND 10TH STREET <br />NW AND ORDERING A COMBINATION OF ALTERNATES NUMBER 3 AND 4, <br />AND TO INCLUDE 11TH AVENUE NW. <br />5 ayes 0 nayes - motion carried <br />The Mayor declared a five minute recess at 9:50. <br />Council reconvened at 9:56. <br />The City Planner reviewed the contents Rezoning Petition <br />of the staff report.. R-108- <br />9:56 - 10:03 <br />Mrs. Griffin Loren, the property owner, Report No. 19-436 <br />was present. The applicant was absent. <br />Roberta Thorslund, representing the Innsbruck <br />Nursing Home, expressed concern of the potential <br />traffic that approval of this rezoning request could generate. <br />Maynard Carpenter spoke in favor of the proposed rezoning. <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Benke to continue rezoning <br />hearing R-108.to July 24, 1979 at 7:35 p.m. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Benke to initiate the <br />rezoning R-110 (property adjacent to rezoning petition <br />R-108), order a public hearing for July 24, 1979 at 7:35 p.m. <br />and to simultaneously consider rezoning petition R-108 and <br />R-110. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br />Mike Galvin Jr., an attorney for <br />Briggs and Morgan firm represent <br />applicant, was present to answer <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by <br />to close the hearing. <br />the Tax Exempt Mortgage <br />ing the Equipment Financing <br />questions. Wolkerstorfer Co. <br />10:04 - 10:20 <br />Benke Supplement to <br />Report No. 79-383 <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Blomquist to deny <br />tax-exempt mortgage note equipment request. - <br />3 ayes - 2 nayes (Werdouschegg,-Benke) motion carried <br />The Mayor stated that the consideration of PRD PRD #27, VN-206,- <br />#27 and'the rezoning petitions were interrelated PL-118, R-103, R-107, <br />and should not be separated. Therefore the R-109 Report No. 79-448 <br />7:40 and the 7:45 public hearing would be 10:21 - 11:54 <br />held simultaneously. <br />-3-
