LJ� <br />Council Proceedings <br />City of New Brighton <br />March 22, 1977 <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Hardt to direct administration <br />prepare resolution organizing a fire study Task Force <br />such Task Force to study the need for a second or third <br />fire station to study response times in major Minnesota <br />cities and neighboring suburbs, and to compare such <br />figures with the response times of New Brighton Fire <br />Department,to study alternatives for improving fire <br />protection and to investigate costs involved with the <br />various alternatives, such committee to be comprised <br />of not more than 9 members with the chairperson <br />appointed by members, and to meet at least monthly and <br />to present their report within one year <br />4 ayes - 1 naye(Werdouschegg) - carried <br />William Forder, applicant was present. <br />Councilman Hardt asked whether Mr. Forder would agree <br />to place large trees in front of his property. Mr. Forder <br />stated he would. <br />Motion by Hardt, seconded by Fisher to authorize <br />administrative authority to issue building permit <br />to William Forder, 80 Second Avenue SE, subject to <br />site and landscape plans signed by the Director of <br />Community Development dated March 22, 1977 and subject <br />to the provision that trees in front of his property be <br />a minimumobf 1% inch in diameter <br />5 ayes- 0 nayes- carried <br />7 <br />to <br />Adm to <br />prepare <br />Task Force <br />Resolution <br />Permit <br />Wm. Forder <br />Motion <br />by Hardt, <br />seconded by Bromander to waive reading <br />RESOLUTION <br />of resolution and <br />to adopt resolution entitled RESOLUTION <br />NO. 1858 <br />MAKING <br />FINDINGS OF <br />FACT AND APPROVING APPLICATION FOR VN -170 <br />Dahlke Sign <br />Motion <br />by Fisher, <br />seconded by Senden to amend resolution <br />Variance <br />Item 1 <br />under the <br />last BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, changing <br />22.5 to 20 <br />Vote onamendment- 3 <br />Vote on main motion <br />.ayes 2 nayes (Werdouschegg, Hardt) - carried <br />as amended 4 ayes 1 naye (Werdouschegg) - carried <br />Mayor Bromander directed,with consent of the Council, that <br />HRA Commissionex.Paul Rebelein dated January 26 and from <br />Barry Johnson HRA executive director dated March 16, 1977 <br />be received and placed in the minutes. <br />Paul Rebelein, New Brighton Housing and Redevelopment <br />Commissioner, stated that the plan for study of codes <br />as shown in his memo of Jan. 26, 1977, had been approved by <br />the Housing Authority. He stated the Housing Authority <br />desired the Planning Commission study group and the Housing <br />Authority Task Force to look at the issue relative to codes <br />together. <br />memo from <br />Code Review <br />
