Fill Motion by Senden, seconded by Hardt to receive Permit administrative report. 5 ayes - 0 nayes- carried Rice Creek The Planner reviewed the report and the revised Plaza circulation plans. Richard Ernst, applicant, stated that representatives from Taco Johns, Super Valu, Hardware Dank were 10:29 to present to participate in the discussion. 12:20 Jim Benshoof of Bather-Ringrose-Wolsfeld, traffic consultant for the developer, reviewed the revised circulation plan. He stated the following changes had been made: 1. That a driveway access from Super Valu to the DX property had been provided on the south side of the DX property. 2. That the westerly Super Valu driveway on Mississippi had been shown to be closed. 3. That the Silver Lake Road driveway to Taco Johns had been shown to be closed and access was shown to be provided via the southerly access from Silver Lake Road to the shopping center property. 4. That the northerly shopping center driveway to Silver Lake Road had been reduced in scale to make a secondary access to the shopping area and the southerly driveway had been increased to 45 feet to make it the primary access to the shopping center. He noted this change would reduce traffic pull in front of the shops of the shopping center and provide a future major entrance to commercially zoned property to the south yet to be developed. 5. The southerly driveway on Silver Lake Road to the Super Valu was shown to be closed. Mayor Bromander asked whether motorists would, in fact, use the southerly driveway or would, in fact, utilize the northerly driveway to the shopping center on Silver Lake Road. Benshoof responded that the predominate approach to the shopping center would be from the south and he expected most would utilize that entrance. He added that as customers became familiar with the shopping center they would increasingly utilize the southerly access.
