1ka <br />MWM <br />thetity that µarks for ytnt <br />Quote Form for <br />Ferrellgas Demolition Project <br />The City of New Brighton is requesting quotations for demolition of buildings on City -owned <br />property located at 1430 Old Highway 8 in New Brighton, Minnesota. <br />If you are interested in quoting on this work, please complete this form and return it to Grant <br />Wyffels, Director of Public Works, 803 Old Highway 8 NW, New Brighton, MN 55112, on or before <br />12:00 pm on June 5, 2008. If you prefer, you may fax the completed form to the attention of Grant <br />Wyffels at (651) 638-2044. <br />SCOPE OF WORK: <br />The work generally consists of demolishing buildings, slabs, asphalt pavement, concrete pads and <br />structures, fences, private utilities, above -ground piping, and other improvements at the following <br />address: 1430 Old Highway 8 NW in New Brighton, Minnesota. There are four buildings located on <br />the property and all are reportedly slab on grade construction. Buildings include an office, a <br />shop/garage, a loading dock, and an open storage structure. The property is currently owned by the <br />City and had historically been used as a propane distribution facility, most recently operated by <br />Ferrellgas. Various above and below -ground pipelines associated with propane distribution are also <br />present at the property. Only above -grade pipelines will be removed as part of this work. <br />The property is located within the NW Quadrant which is a 110 -acre area located in the northwest <br />quadrant of I-694 and I -35W in the City of New Brighton. The City has been acquiring and <br />remediating properties within the NW Quadrant in support of their planned redevelopment of the <br />area. The Ferrellgas property is located in the western portion of the NW Quadrant which is enrolled <br />in the MPCA Voluntary Investigation and Cleanup Program (VIC) and has been assigned #VP14450. <br />The overall scope of the Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, furnishing all labor, <br />supervision, tools, equipment, and materials necessary to: <br />1. Manage surface water, and control sedimentation and erosion at the property. <br />2. Locate all utilities that may be affected by the work and protect or relocate and/or abandon <br />existing utilities as necessary to safely conduct the work. <br />3. Complete pre -demolition abatement of asbestos -containing materials, lead paint, and <br />hazardous substances and properly and legally disposing these materials off-site. <br />4. Demolish buildings, building slabs and footings, fences, asphalt pavement, private utilities, <br />above -ground piping, and other improvements. <br />5. Properly dispose of abated materials and demolition debris at approved disposal or recycling <br />facilities. <br />6.
