Council Member Sharon Doffing -Public Safety Commission <br />Councilmember Doffing reported that 16 members of the Public Safety Department assisted with the <br />0 Republican National Convention. The fire division utilized 4 apparatus on Tuesday September 2'd to <br />assist with back to school efforts. Residents were reminded to watch for pedestrians crossing at <br />crosswalks. The next Public Safety Commission meeting is scheduled for September 20 at 6:30 pm. <br />It was reported that it was pedestrian safety week. Appreciation was expressed to Director of Public <br />Works Grant Wyffels and his staff for his effort in assisting a resident with a very challenging public <br />works issue. <br />Council Member Gina Bauman — Parks„ Recreation, and Environmental Commission <br />Councilmember Bauman was unable to attend the recent Parks, Recreation and Environmental <br />Commission meeting, and expressed her apology for not being able to attend because of a conflict with <br />her business. <br />Mayor Larson <br />Mayor Larson introduced Lynn Giersome who is attending Minneapolis Technical College. <br />Mayor Larson attended a Public Safety Crime Prevention steering comm-uttee in Farmington Hills, MI. <br />Adiournment <br />Motion by Councihnember Doffing, seconded by Councilmember Phillips to adjourn the <br />meeting, <br />9 S Ayes -0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />Meeting adjourned at 7:46 PM <br />Steve Larson, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Daniel A Maiers, Director of Finance <br />And Support Services <br />Adjournment <br />Meeting adjourned at <br />7:46 pin <br />
