Page 8of8 <br />IS Council Member Gina Bauman — Parks, Recreation, and Environmental Commission <br />Councilmember Bauman reported the City's now able to provide updates via email through the New <br />Brighton Newsroom. Ice rinks are scheduled to open December 20`t' along with the neighborhood <br />centers at Hansen and Freedom parks. The Park Explorer Winter Warm-up program is operating at <br />Hansen Park daily from 7:30-5:30 during school vacation. Red cross babysitting and lifeguard classes <br />are offered in December. Holiday wishes were extended to all. <br />Mayor Larson <br />Mayor Larson expressed Holiday wishes to all. Numerous comments were received form the <br />professors at William Mitchell, and they expressed their appreciation to Mayor Larson and Dean. Lotter. <br />Mayor Larson reported he will be attending discussions at the Capitol related to the downturn in the <br />economy, and how the LGA payments will occur in 2009.
