<br />City of New Brighton <br />March 8, 1983 <br /> <br />Page Six <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Schmidt to continue <br />the Public Hearing on Project 83-1 until 7:40 p.m. <br />on March 22, 1983. <br /> <br />3 Ayes - 0 Nayes - Motion carried <br /> <br />Director of Community Development reviewed the <br />staff report and PlannIng Commission recommen- <br />dation. <br /> <br />PRD #36-PL-134 <br />Report #83-68 <br />9:25-10:10 <br /> <br />Mr. Henry Hyatt, applicant, was present to review <br />the proposed project. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schmidt noted that the information <br />regarding parking was data that the Planning Commission <br />had not seen and stated that he felt that it may be <br />a good idea for the Planning Commission to review <br />this information. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Hyatt noted that he also would like to see <br />the vacant red house removed but that the situation <br />was complicated because the house was under a sales <br />contract and because of the cost that may be involved. <br />Mr. Hyatt stated he would like a commitment from the <br />city to move the house or to contribute a fair share <br />of the cost. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schmidt stated he felt the developer had <br />come a long was towards meeting the parking concern <br />of the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Mr. Peter Bousa1lis, co-developer, noted that they <br />are fa9ing a time problem in that their financing <br />commitment requires that the units be completed by <br />December 31, 1983. Mr. Bousa1lis stated that they <br />would like to get going on their marketing and any <br />delay could be a problem. <br /> <br />councilmember Schmidt noting that it was impossible <br />for the Council to take action tonight because there <br />was not sufficient councilmembers present, stated that <br />he felt that the vacation of Clover Lane and PRD density <br />was appropriate but also felt the vacant house should be removed. <br /> <br />Councilmember Benke stated that he likewise thought the <br />project was very good and felt the project could stand <br />by itself without the inclusion of the vacant home property. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Benke to continue the <br />Public Hearing on PRD #36, PL-134 until March 22, 1983, <br />at 8:00 p.m. and to refer the question of the parking <br />to the Planning Commission in the interim for their <br />
