~'~.~,...".

1

I

1

: ',,':-
.

City of New Brighton
February 25, 1982

Larry Mottle, 160 Windsor Court, asked about
the possibility of widening the cul-de-sac
at the end of Windsor Court.

The City Engineer replied that it was their
intention to look to see if that cul-de-sac
could be widened for the sake of school buses
turning around in the area.

Stan Wrobel, 37 Windsor Court, stated that
he felt the assessment for over $800 for his
frontage was excessive compared to the other
units at Windsor Green and that he would have
a difficult time paying that assessment as
he was now retired. Mr. Wrobel stated that he
would like to see the assessment spread over
the other units in Windsor Green since they
use the street much more than he does and in fact
it serves all of Windsor Court.

Mr. Dan Schuling, 119 Windsor Court, asked if this
was going to be a better street.

The City Engineer stated that the technology in
designing streets today is much better than before
and that they feel that they are designing a
street best suited for the existing soil conditions.

Mr. Schuling stated that he was in favor of the
project and just hoped that it would work.

Peter Murlowski, owner of Birch Pond Condominium project
stated that he felt the City picking up 75% of the
assessment cost is very generous but that he did not
feel that the streets were in such condition as to
need replacement.

Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist to close
the hearing.
4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried

..

Motion by Janecek, seconded by Benke to waive the
reading and adopt a RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT
AND AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
FOR 'rUE PROPOSED RECONSTRUCTION OF WINDSOR GREEN AREA
STREETS, PROJECT #82-10.
4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried

Motion by Harcus, seconded by Janecek to recess
for five minutes.
4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried

Recess 10:05 - 10:10

The Mayor called the Council back to order
at 10:10 p.m.

-11-
