<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Ci ty of New Brighton <br />May 25, 1982 <br /> <br />Mr. Rekstad replied that that should not <br />be a problem. <br /> <br />Hotion by Benke, seconded by Blomqusit to <br />waive the reading and adopt a RESOLUTION <br />MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING <br />APPLICATION FOR SPECIAL USE PERMIT, SP-101. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Schmidt to <br />waive the reading, hold the second reading, <br />adopt and order pUblication of AN ORDINANCE <br />GOVERNING SURFACE USE OF LONG LAKE. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Schmidt to <br />authorize staff to spend up to $1,200 from <br />the self-supporting recreation fund to hire <br />a gate guard for Long Lake beach. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Mr. Mark Murlowski, representing Berger <br />Transfer and Storage, Inc., was present <br />to answer questions. <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Janecek to <br />approve LP-127 subject to the following <br />conditions: <br /> <br />1. That site plan be revised to provide required <br />bituminous parking area; <br />2. That the applicant conform with amended site and <br />landscape plans dated and signed by the applicant <br />and City Planner. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Janecek to suspend <br />the rules of procedure and reorder the agenda by <br />placing consideration of the downtown plans at the <br />end of the regular agenda. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Councilmember Benke noted that some of the <br />rational for a combined safety building was <br />to provide 24 hour staffing capabilities of <br />a public safety building and to provide additional <br />meeting space for the City advisory boards and <br />other civic groups.
