<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City of New Brighton <br />May 25, 1982 <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Blomquist stated that he felt <br />staff should continue investigating the altern- <br />atives of separate facili ties as well as the <br />alternative of a combined police/fire public <br />safety building. Acting Mayor Blomquist also <br />noted that Ramsey County has in the past and <br />is currently considering some potential consolidation <br />in regard to the Ramsey County Court system and <br />that that could have an impact on the utilization <br />of City Hall space by the court system. <br /> <br />The City Manager indicated that the concerns <br />expressed by the Council would all be considered <br />in any study that was completed by staff. <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Janecek to receive <br />the City Hall Space Needs Study, to accept the <br />proposal of Lindberg-Pierce, Inc. for the option <br />#1 study at a cost of $2,250 to be charged to the <br />Capital Improvements Fund and to direct staff to <br />work on County Court utilization of the first floor, <br />financing and the use of City personnel and to report <br />back to the City Council when this additional work <br />is completed. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist to <br />waive the reading, and hold the first reading <br />of an ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF <br />CHAPTER IX OF THE NEW BRIGHTON ZONING ORDINANCE <br />IN REGARD TO SIGNS. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Zoning Code <br />Amendment, Signs <br />Report No. 82-132 <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Benke to walve <br />the reading and adopt a RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING <br />LIQUOR FUND TO NEGOTIATE $10,000 LETTER OF <br />CREDIT WITH FIRST STATE BANK OF NEW BRIGHTON. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Liquor Fund - Letter <br />of Credit <br />Report No. 82-137 <br />RESOLUTION #2601 <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Janecek to <br />waive the reading and adopt a RESOLUTION <br />DESIGNATING VARIOUS BANKS AS OFFICIAL <br />DEPOSITORIES OF CITY FUNDS. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Official Depository <br />Report No. 82-143 <br />RESOLUTION #2602 <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Blomquist noted that at the <br />Environmental Quality Commission meeting <br />of June 9, 1982 a representative from <br />Minnesota Pollution Control Agency would <br />be present to discuss the City's water <br />situation. <br /> <br />General Announcements <br />and Updates <br /> <br />-4- <br />
