It was noted that Super
Valu had submitted plans and an application
for a building permit to staff which would be
on the Planning Commission agenda on September 21,
1982 and on the Council agenda on September 28, 1982.

Councilmember Blomquist stated that he was appalled
that the driveway and work had yet to be completed
noting that the Council had required the temporary
driveway over four years ago.

The Council also discussed the grading of the
adjacent Meadowwood Park property.

Mr. Dick Ernst, applicant, stated that he was
willing to go to the Watershed District to see
if ~he approved grading plan could be amended.

Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Harcus to continue
consideration of the amendment to variance conditions
for VN-217 until the next Council meeting.
5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried

Motion by Danecek, seconded by Blomquist to
authorize the repair work on City Well #6
for the low quote of $2,965.00 from Keys
Well Drilling of St. Paul, Minnesota.
5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried

Councilmember Schmidt asked the City Engineer
if he was confident that the Mount Simon/Hinckley
aquifer had sufficient capacity to supply adequate
water supplies to the City with the proposed new
wells.

The City Engineer replied that with the information
that is known, there appeared to be an adequate
supply, but that there was no way of forecasting
whether other cities may drill into the same
Rquifer which could have an impact on future
water supplies.

-4-

VN-217, RCE Corp.
Report No. 82-217

Repair Work
Well #6
Report No. 82-218

New Wells #10 & #11
Report No. 82-221
RESOLUTION #2629A
