<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City of New Brighton <br />August 25, 1981 <br /> <br />Marion Lenzmeier, 1299 Brighton Square, stated <br />she was concerned for further traffic within <br />the area and requested that the Council seriously <br />consider traffic problems prior to any further <br />development or any rezoning in this area. <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Elmquist, 1312 16th Avenue NW, <br />stated that density was the key issue in <br />this proposal. <br /> <br />Chris Green, 2701 13A Street, questioned whether <br />there is any guarantee that the project would <br />be built as proposed. <br /> <br />The Mayor replied that any approvals would be <br />conditioned on conformance with plans submitted <br />and approved and that the city had the necessary <br />control to guarantee that development would <br />occur as shown. <br /> <br />Mr. John Gerteck, 3040 13A Street, stated that <br />he preferred single family homes adjacent to <br />the existing single family homes in the area. <br /> <br />Mr. Randall Clemenston, 2789 13A Street, questioned <br />if there really was a need for quad homes in this <br /> <br />area rather than single family homes. <br /> <br />Mr. Maynard Day, 2703 13A Street, stated he felt <br />the property should be developed for single family <br />homes. <br /> <br />Marion Patrick, 1301 32nd Avenue NW, stated she was <br />in favor of single family homes in the area. <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Janecek to continue <br />the public hearing on PRD-32, PL-12S until September <br />22, 1981 at 7:40 p.m. and to direct staff to work with <br />the developer in developing a comprehensive site plan <br />incorporating single family homes and quad homes and <br />also integrating the property south of this PRD and <br />just north of Minnesota Federal. <br /> <br />After discussion regarding the proposal and possibility <br />of modifying the plan, the Council acted in the following <br />manner: <br /> <br />o ayes - 4 nayes (Senden, Benke, Janecek, Schmidt) - Motion failed <br /> <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Benke to deny application <br />for PRD-32, PL-125" and LP-118. <br /> <br />-5- <br />
