<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City of New Brighton <br />April 22, 1980 <br /> <br />and to add: <br /> <br />"Any request to dispose of property must be in writing <br />and submitted to the City Manager. If the original value <br />of the property exceeds $1,000 the City Council must <br />authorize the disposal. Upon approval to dispose of <br />property the follcwllB procedures shall be implemented: <br />Either <br /> <br />1) A notice of public sale, or request for offers, <br />shall be published in the New Brigh,ton BUlletin <br />at least ten days in advance of the close of offers. <br />The notice shall specify the property to be disposed <br />of and the location and time(s) that the property <br />can be examined. The property will then be sold <br />to whomever presents the highest bona fide offer <br />to the City by the close of offers. Or, <br />2) The property to be disposed of shall be delivered <br />to the custody of the Police Department to be sold <br />at public auction as per the Municipal Code Chapter <br />23 Article III. <br /> <br />All proceeds from the sale of property shall be deposited <br />into the fund from which the property was originally paid, <br />and if in doubt, to the General Fund." <br /> <br />and further to adopt the Administrative Code as amended. <br />S ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Schmidt to <br />authorize the City Manager to seek <br />amendments to Minnesota Statutes 412.691 <br />through the Management Association and <br />the League of Minnesota Cities to amend <br />412.691 by removing the limits imposed <br />on the Manager for purchasing and allow <br />the City Council to set such limits. <br />S ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Legislative Amendment <br />Optional Plan B <br />Report No. 80-63 <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist to <br />defer consideration on Long Lake Park status <br />report to the May 13, 1980 City Council <br />meeting and also to consider the draft <br />joint powers agreement at that time. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Long Lake Park <br />Status Report <br />Report No. 80-71 & <br />Report No. 80-74 <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Janecek <br />to direct staff to negotiate terms and <br />conditions of a joint planning agreement <br />with the Belair Corporation. <br />S ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Joint planning Agree- <br />ment - Belair Corp. <br />Report No. 80-73 <br /> <br />The Director of Conununity Development <br />distributed two (2) proposed ordinance <br />amendments. <br /> <br />Amendments - Food <br />Code Ordinance <br />Supplement to <br />Report No. 79-501 <br />
