She was told not to come back. <br />• Language and activities bad, won't take kids there any more <br />• Skateboard park not the primary problem. <br />• Commissioners need to spend time there and help eliminate <br />some of the issues. <br />• Primary patrolling up there is Parks and Recreation <br />responsibility. She is not'sure about that. Perhaps we <br />should have a record of Police Reports. Before skate ramp, <br />didn't have these kinds of things happening: <br />• It is admirable that the kids want to help, but these are serious <br />issues. Don't want to leave it to these kids. <br />Breuer stated PREC had previously requested Public Safety reports at Freedom. <br />Looked at three years 2004 (last yr Pike Lake was open), 2005 (School closed), <br />2008. She presented these reports to the audience. 2008 16 calls, 2005 12 calls, <br />2004 12 calls. <br />Mark Gafikon <br />Regarding the graffiti at Freedom. They would be willing to paint the climbing <br />wall if they were given the paint. <br />Michelle Schicker <br />• If skateboard park was intended for younger age group to use as well as older, <br />it is not happening. <br />• Older kids take over the playground area too. <br />+ Commend the skateboarders here for all their work they are doing to come up <br />with solutions for this. Don't feel the kids should insert themselves into <br />dangerous situations regarding the drug dealing. The Police need to step up <br />and do more patrolling. <br />• The Police reports do not show the many times a Police Officer has driven <br />through the park and talked with individuals. Many times there are <br />interactions that do not get written up. <br />Lynn Barton, Bru House <br />+ Had huge issue with graffiti on her business property. <br />• If skateboarders do not skate at the park, they will be doing it in business <br />parking lots. <br />• Now everything is contained in one area. <br />+ The foul language is everywhere. <br />• The kids are involved and doing a good job. <br />Kelly Jewett <br />• Proud of her son. <br />+ A park is for all ages 2 mos.
