Impulsive noise of this type is not well captured by the standards <br />assessed, and may be more of a nuisance than a violation of noise standards. <br />The existing facility appears to be within compliance with Minnesota Noise Standards. The suggested <br />mitigation plan is likely to minimize the impact of the facility upon the overall noise level. However, <br />reduction of the overall level does not necessarily mean the facility will be inaudible, especially impulsive <br />sounds like a tailgate banging on the bed of a truck. <br />While the proposal to reduce the facility's overall noise level below existing background is likely to <br />improve conditions. without octave band monitoring data it is not certain that the facility is or is not in <br />compliance with New Brighton's Zoning Code. <br />• <br />C7 <br />
