- 3 -
The four parks totaled about 19 acres of the 100 acres designated for park
land.
Some of the land cannot be built on so it will be park or open space areas.
Council Member Phillips stated that one of the complaints he heard on the
tour was about mushy ball fields. There was talk of the possibility of 2 or
more adult ball fields added.
Frischman commented that in original discussion when there were two
developers in this area, if ball fields go in, there needs to be parking.
Breuer stated that if games are played there, the teams coming to the
second game usually arrive before the first team is done, creating more of
a parking issue. At that time the Commission was concerned about private
resident parking spaces being taken or people parking on the street.
A commissioner inquired if a parking area could be thrown into the
"mixed use" area.
Breuer said the names North, South, etc. are not permanent. One name
may be used for all four park areas.
VI. New Business
A. None
VII. Announcements
A.
