The Commission expressed their desire to be back on cable TV. <br /> MOTION BY TOM TREVORROW, SECONDED BY ALYSSA <br /> LUNDBERG, THAT WE RECOMMEND TO THE COUNCIL <br /> THAT THE PARKS, RECREATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL <br /> COMMISSION MEETINGS BE TELEVISED ON CABLE TV. <br /> MOTION CARRIED. <br /> C. Commission Reports on Parks <br /> Meadow Wood Park—Frischman stated it looks good. There was <br /> ice on the sidewalk coming out of Brightondale. <br /> Freedom Park—Long Nguyen stated it is kind of muddy by the <br /> hockey rink but otherwise ok. <br /> Sunny Square—Council Liaison Jacobsen stated he would report <br /> on this park in the future. <br /> Driftwood— Alyssa Lundberg —no updates. <br /> Hansen— Alyssa Lundberg—no updates. <br /> Veterans—The flag is out of the tree, <br /> Vermont— Adam Parker—barking dog. <br /> Freedom/Innsbruck—Tom Trevorrow— Innsbruck quiet. There is a <br /> trail with lights, very nice. Gazebo—roof shingles missing on the <br /> roof. Freedom—the sliding hill very well used. Tires around the <br /> light pole very good. The small rink is well used. The shade <br /> provided by the trees, helps save the rink from melting. The <br /> skateboarders and ice skaters are out together. <br /> Hidden Oaks-Fields — Light on in the building. <br /> Silver Oaks- Mary Kunesh-Podein—Walkway gets a good ice <br /> build up. Sliding down the hill, they slide in the street. <br /> Chris Wolla commented that the City does not salt the paths. <br /> D. Department Happenings /upcoming events <br /> Breuer went through the Dept. Happenings. <br /> Trevorrow inquired if the Community Center still has a boardwalk. He wondered <br /> if Parks and Recreation could do some programming with the library. <br /> Breuer stated there has been previous programming with the Forester and the <br /> Charter school that was on site. <br /> IX.
