regarding the No Right Turn onto Palmer Drive and to be official, Council should repeal <br /> this Resolution. This process should be started by having the City Attorney review this. <br /> 4. Can the City lower the speed limit on Robin Lane? <br /> Answer: Possibly, but MN/DOT has the final authority to raise or lower speed limits. <br /> 5. Provide a diagram and feasibility of sidewalks: <br /> a. Connect Shopping Center to Crossroads of New Brighton Apartments (approx. cost <br /> $25,000). <br /> b. Connect Pike Lake Center to the existing sidewalks along Palmer Drive (approx. cost <br /> $35,000). <br /> Mr. Wyffels would be in support of recommending these sidewalks. <br /> Updates <br /> A. Citizen Corps Council <br /> No report. <br /> Department Reports <br /> A. Human Rights <br /> Commissioner Kroll reported she has been involved with the League of MN Human Rights <br /> Commissions. She noted there will be a day-long retreat coming up in February. She also noted <br /> that Human Rights commissioners from the north metro suburbs will be meeting to discuss any <br /> concerns. <br /> B. Allina Medical <br /> Mr. Dave Matteson noted that Allina is changing its name for the fourth time in 17 years. They <br /> will be called Allina Health and will also change their logo. This name change will happen this <br /> year. <br /> The new Allina location at the SW corner of County Road 10 /Woodale in Mounds View should <br /> be ready for them to move in March 1st. Mr. Matteson offered to host a Public Safety <br /> Commission meeting at their new location. Allina is also looking at adding a 24/7 supervisor for <br /> the north metro area since this is the busiest area. <br /> Mr. Matteson reported medical facilities have been dealing with medication shortages. Right <br /> now, they are dealing with a morphine shortage as there are only a few vendors that currently <br /> make morphine. <br /> Mr. Matteson reported that due to the ambulance crash last year that happened in Cambridge, <br /> Allina has worked with the rural hospitals so Allina responds routine when not an emergency. <br /> Mr. Matteson noted Allina has been seeing a lot of heroine overdose calls lately and also calls for <br /> the"bath salts"which are a synthetic drug. <br /> Volunteers in Public Safety (VIPS) <br /> Commissioner Woods noted the VIPS monthly meeting was held last week.
