Proposed Projects for the 2013 Construction Season by City staff.
• No 2013 Pavement Management program
• City Street Rehabilitation
o Windsor Green
o Move water main that extends from Silver Lane to
Windsor Lane. Comprehensive Plan shows a sidewalk
along eastern side of Silver Lake Road and a multi-use
sidewalk on the west. Will be looking at possible
sidewalk. Dual sidewalk along Silver Lake Road; New
Brighton side and St. Anthony side up to County Road E,
and then there is nothing. If a multi-use trail was done on
the west side, it would probably be done with St.
Anthony. The County may agree to provide some money
for a trail project. The County has not agreed to anything
on that project yet. There may be State Aid money
available. A meeting with residents could occur in
February. Comments of that meeting to Council and then
a public hearing at a later date. In March Public Works
will be going to Council asking that they recommend the
feasibility report. A presentation will be given in April with
resident notification of the meeting. Council will decide
whether to approve the feasibility report in April.
Construction would be in July or August. It would be nice
to have information from PREC in February. It is
possible that the power lines from Silver Lane to County
Road E could be buried as part of this project or for future
consideration. This would eliminate all the poles and
would certainly look nicer. To make sidewalk wider along
Silver Lake Road, it would need to be replaced. If it is
bituminous, it would need to be an 8 ft. sidewalk. If
concrete, it could be more expensive. There was
discussion about the pole in the sidewalk that prohibits
two people from passing at the same time at the pole
location.
• Pulte Homes Development
• 86 single family homes
• 34 townhomes (along Old Hwy. 8)
There are some trails shown on Pulte maps which could be
a future discussion topic.
There is a park planned at the north end of that site.
VIII.
