Public Safety Commission <br />November 25, 2013 <br />Attending: Commissioner Allen, Commissioner Benke, Commissioner Donohue, <br />Commissioner Hollimon, Commissioner Kerns, Commissioner Kroll, <br />Commissioner Lamp, Commissioner Schumann, Commissioner Woods, <br />Director Jacobson, Council Member Bauman, and Dave Matteson (Allina <br />Health) <br />Absent: Commissioner Kocon <br />Call to Order/Roll Call <br />Commissioner Allen called the November meeting to order at 6:30 pm and roll call was taken. <br />October Meeting Minutes <br />The October meeting minutes were reviewed. Commissioner Lamp made a motion to approve <br />the October meeting minutes; Commissioner Woods seconded. Motion carried. <br />Public Hearing/Presentation <br />No Public Hearing or Presentation. <br />Updates <br />A. Citizen Corps Council <br />No Report. <br />Department Reports <br />A. Human Rights <br />No report. <br />B. Allina Health <br />Mr. Dave Matteson reported Allina Health personnel attended the November 12th Council <br />meeting for the Life Saving Awards; this meant a lot to their employees. <br />Allina Health will be getting 5 more Lucas devices in 2014. <br />The floor plan for the new substation in Arden Hills has been approved. <br />The Clinical Services Division is currently updating contracts with every Fire Department and <br />Police Department. These contracts specify our Medical Director and provide continuing <br />education training for New Brighton police and fire employees. <br />There will be a new curriculum in place by 2015 for the National Registry of Medical Clinicians <br />where all First Responders will need to update their training. <br />
