Resolution No. 14-032. <br />City Manager Lotter explained that City Planner Gundlach would be presenting this item to the <br />Council. <br />City Planner Gundlach indicated staff was initiating a Zoning Code Amendment impacting <br />Chapter 6, Article 6 of the Zoning Code titled NWQ, Northwest Quadrant zoning district. The <br />proposed amendment impacts items related to uses permitted in the district, site standards and <br />building types. The proposed amendment also renames the district NBE, New Brighton <br />Exchange to coincide with the rebranding effort that occurred in 2011. There are also <br />numerous amendments that relate to the formatting of the ordinance, which became necessary <br />due to the extent of the amendments. Staff provided a detailed explanation of the revisions, <br />noting that the City Attorney assisted staff with the ordinance re-write. Staff noted the <br />Planning discussed this matter at a worksession on March 18,2014 and recommended the <br />Council adopt the Ordinance, approving amendments to Chapter 6, Article 6 of the Zoning <br />Code, and renaming the zoning district from NWQ, Northwest Quadrant to NBE, New <br />Brighton Exchange at their April 15, 2014 meeting.
