PLANNING REPORT <br /> DATE: October 15, 2014 <br /> CASE: SP2014-006 <br /> SUBJECT: Special Use Permit to permit installation of 3 additional <br /> telecommunications antenna at 348/350 1st ST SW <br /> APPLICANT: T-Mobile Central LLC <br /> REQUEST&BACKGROUND <br /> T-Mobile Central LLC is requesting a Special Use Permit to allow installation of three additional <br /> telecommunications antenna on the existing telecommunications monopole located at 348/350 1st <br /> Street SW. T-Mobile currently has nine antennas at this location and wishes to increase their <br /> antenna amount to 12. All telecommunication uses are specially permitted uses in New <br /> Brighton. Because T-Mobile's original approval only allowed for nine antennas, a new Special <br /> Use Permit must be approved to increase the amount. No substantive changes will be made to <br /> the ground equipment or lease space on the Wolkerstrofer property. <br /> Unlike many of the telecommunications antenna/towers in the City, these tower/antennas are <br /> located on privately owned property verses located on City water towers or on publicly-owned <br /> property such as City parks.
