r Provide support to Finance on utility Information, including water meter mapping, utility districts, and usage types. <br />Y Provide support to Public Safety in mapping crime trends and other data. <br />5) Maintain and update the maps and information within the New Brighton maps section of the City's website. <br />Ensure maps and information are up -to -date ano accessible for web users. <br />6) Oversee of GIS- related functions: <br />Extract and manage census and other demographic information. <br />Provide training and assistance on GIS to city staff <br />Attend Ramsey County GIS users group meeting. <br />7) 7j Answers inquiries from the public and developers about zoning regulations, standards and procedures. <br />Answers, conclusions and recommendations, if any, are timely, correct and clearly supported by language in the <br />Zoning Code and/or local ordinances. <br />$y Assists the Community Development Director, and Planning Coordinator with various planning, redevelopment and <br />economic development issues as requested. <br />y Reports and analyses of whatever nature are prepared, verified, well documented and presented by or before the <br />established deadline and contribute to the department's achievement of its annual work plan or completion of special <br />projects. <br />9) Help process applications for action under the City's Zoning Cade as required. <br />v Applications are reviewed and processed in a consistently reliable and timely manner. <br />10) Under direction of Planning Director answers questions on the City's Zoning Code including necessary research on past <br />and current applications of the Cade in question. <br />Residents, Residents, property owners and businesses receive all the information they need to understand the current <br />Code and how it is and will be applied. <br />Responses to inquires are prompt, concise and accurate. <br />v The Zoning Code, Subdivision Ordinance and information material for the public are current, complete and clear on <br />the topics of land use and development. <br />11 j Supports the daily operations of the Community Assets and Development engineering functions. <br />Technical expertise to help facilitate projects that are prioritized, planned, designed, approved and initiated <br />through a coordinated team effort. <br />e Assists the general public in resolving Community Assets and Development problems, dealing with their concerns <br />and answering questions. <br />Works closely with other departments to exchange data and information required to supervise projects and <br />operations for which the engineering functions are responsible. <br />Contributes to the development of the department's annual work plan. <br />Decisions on what department documents appear on the City web site appear consistent with what the public <br />most frequently request from the department. <br />,I I) Performs other job related responslbilities as apparent or assigned. <br />Competencies Common to All Positions; <br />Developing and maintaining a thorough working knowledge of all department and applicable City policies and procedures in <br />order to help facilitate compliance with such policies and procedures by all personnel. <br />Z:IGommunity Assets and DevelopmenhGIS Engineering 5pecialist.doc <br />
