3)� Processes applications for action under the City's Zoning Code, sign ordinance, Subdivision Ordnance and <br />other development related ordinances as required. <br />Applications are reviewed and processed in a consistently reliable and timely manner. <br />4) Prepares and presents development plan reviews for the Planning Commission and City Council <br />• Decisions made by the Council based on staff analysis and recommendations of the Corn misson are <br />determined to be consistent with City goals and policies. <br />Reports and presentation are complete, accurate, clear and timely. <br />Hearing notices and Other legal steps necessary for processing applications are accurately and consistently <br />followed. <br />Land use records are current, complete, accurate and readily accessible as requested, <br />5) Answers questions on the City's Zoning Code including any necessary research on past and current <br />applications of the Code in question. <br />Residents, property owners and businesses receive all the information they need to understand the current <br />Code and how it is and will be applied. <br />a Responses to inquires are prompt, concise and accurate. <br />r The Zoning Code, Subdivision Ordinance and information material for the public are current, complete and <br />clear on the topics of land use and development. <br />5) Prepares, updates and implements assigned redevelopment plans and contributes to the formulation and <br />refinement of redevelopment strategies for the City. <br />Effective plans are prepared consistent with City lone range goals, vision, and core values. <br />All required get -ready steps are completed and all necessary up -front contacts with key stakeholders (both <br />internal and external) in each project are made in a timely manner so that each project is clearly understood <br />and supported by the key stakeholders. <br />Plans and strategies are implemented in a timely and cost effective manner. <br />7) Identify opportunities for outside funding, communicate with staff of funding agencies, coordinate preparation of <br />funding applications and administer awards of funds. <br />City receives grant funds from outside funding agencies. <br />Grant awards are efficiently used and reporting requirements fully met. <br />8) Works with other City staff and/or outside consultants to coordinate implementation strategies on assigned <br />redevelopment projects. <br />A coordinated team effort where and when required enhances the chances for successful project <br />implementation. <br />Assists with preparation of monthly New Brighton Exchange newsletter. <br />Assists Community Development Director with project management of the New Brighton Exchange. <br />9) Prepares and ,presents special reports regarding Ordinance / Code interpretations and/or changes initiated by <br />the City or caused by State legislative actions. <br />There is a current and accurate understanding by City staff, the Planning Commission, Council and other <br />interested parties of all applicable ordinances and codes. <br />Z: Community Assets and DevelopmentlAssistant Director Community Assets and Development Director of Planning.doc <br />
