Score Funding Grant Application and recycling service charge for 2006, <br />Report No. 05-224, <br /> <br />City Sanitarian, David Fridgen explained the City's recycling program and <br />recommended a 2006 recycling fee of $23,50, which is the same as 2005. He <br />informed the Conncll that the contract with the recycling company is through the <br />end of 2006. <br /> <br />Mayor Larson questioned if single sort would be available in 2006, <br /> <br />Mr. Fridgen responded not at this time and noted that Ramsey Connty has no <br />opposition to single sort system, if the City wanted to move to that system after the <br />end of the current contract. He did caution the Conncll, however, regarding the <br />higher level of non-recyclable waste generated through a single sort approach. <br /> <br />Conncll Member Doffmg questioned who collects the $23.50 fee per household. <br /> <br />It was explained that Ramsey Connty has included the fee as a separate line on <br />property tax statements since its beginning because of a local decision at the time <br />I not place iton the City's utility billing statements, <br /> <br />otion by Council Member Hoffman, seconded by Council Member Burg to <br />Approve the 2006 Score Fund Grant Application for Ramsey Connty and the 2006 <br />City recycling service charge of $23.50, <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 1 Nay, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Ayes: <br />Mayor Larson <br />Council Member Hoffman <br />Council Member Moore-Sykes <br />Council Member Burg <br /> <br />Nay: <br />Council Member Doffing <br /> <br />3.
