<br />Page 5 - October 11, 2005 New Brighton Council Minutes <br /> <br />Mr, Rymer stated that Ramsey County was contacted to pick up the debris on <br />lounty maintained roads. <br /> <br />second round pick up was proposed, <br />The City Forester, Rick Wriskey explained that occasionally second round pick ups <br />can be problematic if they extend too long, resulting in non storm debris being <br />picked up. <br /> <br />Material disposal was discussed; Mr, Wriskey explained there are a few options <br />they will be looking at. <br /> <br />Council Member Burg questioned if the total nwnber of trees lost is available. <br />Mr, Wriskey said he will have some ideas ofvolwne of trees lost, <br /> <br />Council Member Burg questioned if it's possible to get a pre determination of cost <br />associated with a second round clean up, <br /> <br />Mr, Wriskey felt there wasn't a large amount of remaining cleanup; possibly being <br />handled by in house crews, <br /> <br />Council Member Hoffman questioned where the funds were coming from. <br /> <br />fr, Fulton responded that the general fund would be used to pay for the costs of <br />e cleanup. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Hoffman, seconded by Council Member Moore~Sykes to <br />authorize Rybak Incorporated to complete the first round of the community cleanup <br />at a total estimated cost not to exceed $220,000.00, and to direct staff to explore <br />possibility of state aid in recovery of these cost, and move staff recommendation to <br />authorize staff to proceed with second round cleanup with an estimated cost not to <br />exceed $30,000.00. <br /> <br />5 Ayes ~ 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Commission Liaison Reports.
