Councilmember Strub encouraged the Council to consider new candidates for the other open committee <br />positions. He understood that incumbents had experience, but he wanted to see new members considered as <br />well. He supported Sayid being placed on the EDC. <br />Councilmember Burg agreed stating Sayid had great strengths that would benefit the EDC. <br />Councilmember Bauman explained that if Sayid were placed on the EDC, this would mean the removal of one <br />of the currently standing EDC members. <br />The Council was in favor of Megan and Abraham remaining on PREC. <br />Councilmember Burg suggested that Graham be considered for PREC. She believed he would be a good <br />commissioner. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen was in favor of reappointing Steve Danger to the Planning Commission. He <br />suggested that Linda Zelm remain on the EDC. <br />The Council supported this recommendation. <br />Councilmember Bauman believed that Bruce Knight should remain on the EDC. <br />Councilmember Burg questioned this appointment due to his negative attitude and thought that Sayid would <br />bring a new perspective to the group. <br />Councilmember Strub agreed. <br />The Council recommended that Linda, Bruce and DL be appointed to the EDC. <br />Councilmember Bauman suggested that Sayid be placed on the Planning Commission and Larry on PREC, <br />with Brandon, Megan and Abraham. <br />The Council supported this recommendation. <br />Haarstad requested the Council appoint City Liaisons to the advisory commissions. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen noted he was interested in serving on the Planning Commission. <br />Councilmember Strub was interested in serving another year on PREC. <br />Councilmember Bauman commented that she could serve as the EDC liaison. <br />Councilmember Burg would continue her service with the Public Safety Commission. <br />Commission Applicant Interview <br />Haarstad requested the Council interview one more candidate (Larry) for a Commission position. <br />Councilmember Bauman asked the first question. She asked what were the three most important qualities in an <br />advisory commission member. <br />
