January 27, 2015 Page 6 of 7 <br />dedication fees, and implementing several technical engineering changes into the final <br />construction drawings. <br />Paul Heuer, Pulte Homes, thanked staff for the thorough report and for the Council's consideration. He was <br />excited to be selling homes in the City of New Brighton. He noted the first model home was now open in <br />The Enclave. <br />Mayor Jacobsen questioned why Phase III would be delayed. Mr. Heuer commented that he did not know <br />how many homes would be selling this year. For that reason, he was suggesting a delay in order to allow the <br />sale of these lots to be held over to 2016. <br />Councilmember Burg was pleased that The Enclave was generating such a great deal of interest and that <br />homes were already selling. <br />Councilmember Bauman requested further information on the proposed townhome units. Mr. Heuer <br />discussed the row homes that would be built along Old Highway 8 in The Enclave. He explained that the <br />units would have subtle differences with a variety of interior and exterior options. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen questioned what the hours would be for the model home. Mr. Heuer commented <br />the model home would be open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. He encouraged residents interested in <br />learning more about the home options from Pulte Homes to visit the company's website. <br />Motion by Councilmember Jacobsen, seconded by Councilmember Burg to adopt a Resolution <br />approving the Final PUD and Final Plat for the Enclave at New Brighton 2' and 3' Addition, subject <br />to ten conditions. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays -Motion Carried <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates <br />Dean Lotter <br />City Manager Lotter welcomed Troy Gilchrest to the City of New Brighton as the new City <br />Attorney. <br />Gina Bauman <br />Councilmember Bauman noted the Planning Commission tabled action on the Belair <br />Excavating request at their January 20th meeting. Planning Director Gundlach provided the <br />Council with an update on the Belair Excavating request. <br />Councilmember Bauman noted she was not able to attend the worksession meeting where the <br />City Manager's performance review was discussed. She indicated she did not support his step <br />raise. In addition, she he questions and did not support the change orders and partial payments <br />for the NBCC Locker Room/Restroom Renovation project. She was disappointed that she <br />could not discuss these matters prior to the Consent Agenda being approved. <br />Councilmember Bauman noted that the Cable Commission would be meeting with <br />CenturyLink and she looked forward to this new opportunity. <br />Mary Burg <br />Councilmember Burg reported she attended the EDC meeting last week. She noted the main <br />discussion was on the historical development of New Brighton. She reported there would be a <br />joint meeting between the EDC and the Council in March. She stated she attended the Public <br />Safety Commission meeting on January 26th where the group discussed the crosswalk study <br />and parking near Poppyseed Park.
