These purchases would be made through purchasing <br />cooperatives - National Joint Powers Agreement (NJPA) and National Independent Health Club <br />Association (NIHCA). The total purchase would be $41,413.91 and includes standard warranty, <br />shipping and assembly. <br />Staff met with representatives of two different fitness equipment vendors. The vendors each <br />provided a review of the products they offer, tours of manufacturing plants and the opportunity <br />to utilize different pieces of equipment. Ultimately, staff liked equipment from both vendors and <br />believes having a mix of equipment will provide a better experience for NBCC members. <br />Legislative History: <br />Council annually approves the Non -Fleet Replacement Program as part of adopting the budget for <br />each fiscal year. <br />December 9, 2015 — Council adopted the 2015 Budget which included funding in the Non -Fleet <br />Replacement Program to replace a LifeFitness Treadmill and the replacement of the Bikes, <br />Elipticals, other cardio equipment. Funding approved in the budget included $7,700 for the <br />LifeFitness treadmill and $58,900 for the cardio equipment. <br />Financial Impact: <br />Staff met with representatives from two different fitness equipment vendors. Each provided <br />options of equipment that was similar in type, but had different features that distinguished their <br />piece of equipment. Staff is recommending purchasing equipment from both vendors. <br />
