<br />The purchases would be funded by the Non -Fleet Replacement Budget which includes $58,900
<br />for the replacement of fitness equipment and $7,700 for the replacement of a treadmill for a total
<br />of $66,600 due to wear, tear and demand. Two pieces of equipment were previously purchased
<br />for the amount of $12,833 leaving a balance of $53,767 available for this purchase.
<br />Explanation:
<br />The NBCC opened in 1994 and includes a fitness center for individuals to strive to live a healthy
<br />lifestyle. There are currently 1,903 members that pay monthly or annual dues to utilize the
<br />fitness center. Members of NBCC use strength training equipment, cardio equipment and have
<br />the option to join group exercise classes or utilize personal training services. The fitness center
<br />includes different cardio machines such as treadmills, elipticals, recumbent bicycles, upright
<br />bicycles, spin bicycles, recumbent steppers, arc trainers, Summit Climber and a rowing machine.
<br />Each type of equipment allows for a different type of exercise and can be used by different parts
<br />of the population from beginners to those that are looking for more advanced type of exercise.
