  <br />2 <br />483433v3 NE136-8 <br /> <br /> <br />1.5 Curbside Recycling Service <br /> <br />The recycling collection service, together with related public education and other <br />customer services, specified within this Agreement utilizing curbside recycling pickup. <br /> <br />Curbside Recycling Service will be single-stream, collected every-other-week. Single <br />stream service includes collection and processing the residential curbside material within <br />the single stream system whereby residents are allowed to throw all recyclable material <br />into the recycling cart - no separating or sorting needed. Recyclable materials include: <br />rigid containers including glass, metal and plastic bottles; all paper fiber products <br />including: old newspapers (ONP) and inserts; old magazines (OMG) including catalogs; <br />old corrugated containers (OCC); mail, office and school papers, including pop and beer <br />carrier cartons; old boxboard (OBB); phone books, paperback books, and notebooks. <br /> <br />The Contractor shall not make any changes to the single stream collection system without <br />written approval of the City. <br /> <br />1.6 Fiber <br /> <br />As part of a single stream collection program, fiber includes the following paper items: <br />old newspapers including inserts (ONP); mail, office and school papers; old boxboard <br />(OBB); old corrugated cardboard (OCC); phone books, paperback books, and notebooks; <br />brown paper bags; old magazines (OMG); catalogs; and pop and beer carrier cartons <br />(wet-strength boxes). <br /> <br />1.7 Glass Jars and Bottles <br /> <br />Unbroken glass jars, bottles, and containers (lids/caps and pumps removed) that are <br />primarily used for packing and bottling of food and beverages. <br /> <br />1.8 Mail, Office and School Papers <br /> <br />Mail, advertisements, office paper, school papers, envelopes, etc. <br /> <br />1.9 Markets <br /> <br />Any person or company that buys (or charges) for recycling of specified materials and <br />may include, but are not limited to: end-markets, intermediate processors, brokers and <br />other recyclable material reclaimers. <br /> <br />1.10 Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) <br /> <br />A recycling facility in which recyclable materials are processed. The facility will <br />conform to all applicable rules, regulations and laws of state, local or other jurisdictions.
