  <br />4 <br />483433v3 NE136-8 <br />process residuals including but not limited to bulky items, contaminants, sorted tailings, <br />floor sweepings and rejects from specific processing equipment (e.g., materials cleaned <br />from screens, etc.). Process residuals does not include clean, separated products that are <br />normally processed and prepared for shipment to markets as commodities but are of <br />relatively low-value because of depressed market demand conditions. <br /> <br />1.19 Processing <br /> <br />The sorting, volume reduction, baling, containment or other preparation of recyclable <br />materials delivered to the processing center for transportation or marketing purposes. <br /> <br />1.20 Processing Center <br /> <br />A recycling facility in which recyclable materials are processed. The facility will <br />conform to all applicable rules, regulations and laws of state, local or other jurisdictions. <br /> <br />1.21 Recyclable Materials or Recyclables <br /> <br />The following recyclable materials as defined in this Agreement: aluminum cans; steel <br />cans; glass jars and bottles; plastic bottles with a neck; newspapers; magazines; <br />boxboard; phone books; paperback books; notebooks; mail, office and school papers; <br />corrugated cardboard; and pop and beer carrier cartons (wet-strength boxes). The City <br />encourages the Contractor to explore markets for additional types of recyclable material. <br />Materials may be added to this list by mutual written agreement between the City and the <br />Contractor. <br /> <br />1.22 Recycled Content Products <br /> <br />Products or goods, including roadbed or other aggregate products that are openly <br />marketed and have positive value. Recycled content products do not include use of any <br />commodity as landfill cover. <br /> <br />1.23 Steel Cans <br /> <br />Disposable containers fabricated primarily of steel or tin used for food or beverages. <br /> <br />1.24 Waste <br /> <br />Any delivered recyclable material that is deemed by the processor to be unable to be <br />marketed into recycled content products. Typical “waste” in this context includes pumps <br />on plastic bottles, ceramic material in glass streams, frozen pizza boxes in paper stream, <br />etc. <br />
