TRAFFIC SAFETY <br /> <br /> The following information contains summaries of significant traffic safety and traffic <br />enforcement incidents during the month. <br /> <br />White Bear Lake Police hosted the TZD Hi-Viz DWI Saturation on Saturday, September <br />17, 2016 from 7 P.M. to 3 A.M. Seven overtime funded officers and two volunteer <br />reserve officers focused their efforts in the White Bear area that yielded the following: <br /> • 100 traffic stops <br />• 6 people taken to jail <br />• 5 DWI arrests <br />• 7 drivers cited for DAR/DAS <br />• 4 vehicles towed <br />Notes: One SPPD officer made three of the five DWI arrests during the shift and all <br />three DWI arrests were Gross Misdemeanors. <br /> <br />On September 4th at approximately 4:45pm Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block <br />of 29th Avenue NW for a report of a vehicle that struck a mailbox and fled. Officer Matt <br />DeBoer arrived in the area and observed the damaged mailbox and the suspect vehicle <br />pulled in to a driveway in the area. While speaking with the driver ,Krzysztof Andrzej <br />Paidosh 12-11-86, he noted the driver appeared to be intoxicated. The driver failed field <br />sobriety testing and provided a preliminary breath sample indicating an alcohol <br />concentration of .18, he later refused the evidentiary breath test and was booked at the <br />Ramsey County Law Enforcement Center for Gross Misdemeanor 2nd Degree DWI. <br />16011516 <br /> <br />
