multi-family apartment complex. After reviewing water use of multi-family apartments, staff
selected Mateer Properties located at 462 9th Avenue NW. After completion of the toilet
replacement at these apartments, approximately $102.87 of the original $50,000 grant award will
remain. The owner has been eager to participate and the project will commence immediately to
ensure the funds are expended prior to the grant expiration date of June 30, 2017.

The attached Sub-Grant Agreement ensures repayment and the owner has already executed the
agreement. The Sub-Grant Agreement ensures the City receives its match funds in the event the
property is sold prior to full repayment. The owner has preliminarily indicated they will repay
their 25% match in one lump sum following completion of the project.

Costs and Funding: Initial costs will be paid for from the City’s water enterprise fund. The
grant reimbursement estimated at $2,013.50 and owners 25% match will be repaid to this fund.

________________________________________
Trevor Hamdorf
Deputy Director of Public Safety

Attachments:
Sub-Grant Agreement
