<br />The Assistant City Manager is responsible for the oversight of the City’s technology efforts and <br />initiatives. This includes the maintenance and development of the City’s network computer <br />system, telephone systems, and other technology-related services and equipment that are <br />maintained by the IT Department. <br /> <br />The City belongs to many local, regional, state, and national organizations and associations that <br />focus on the needs of municipalities. The City Manager’s office manages these memberships. <br />The Mayor, City Council, and City Manager are all actively involved in these types of activities <br />and the leadership of these associations throughout the year. <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />The City Clerk is responsible for managing elections, preparing and distributing meeting agendas <br />and packets, signing official documents, certifying records, complying with record retention and <br />data practices. The City Clerk is the first point of contact for matters related to data practices and <br />provides training and guidance to the organization in regards to it. <br /> <br />The Deputy City Clerk assists the City Clerk in records management and election administration, <br />but also is a key component to providing the City with effective modes of communication. <br />Administration staff manages marketing and communication efforts with the public. Staff <br />produces newsletters, news releases, flyers, and other communication efforts, including the City <br />webpage, Facebook and cable TV programming. In 2018, the Deputy City Clerk will take on a <br />larger role in communications across the organization. <br /> <br />Personnel Status <br /> <br />Administration Staff <br /> <br />The 2018 budget does not include any changes to staffing levels for the Administration <br />Department.
