New Brighton Lions Park Playground – Accept Donation from New Brighton Lions Club. <br /> <br />Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Hicks reported the New Brighton Lions Club had made a generous <br />donation to the City in the amount of $100,000, which has been broken down into $25,000 for four years to <br />be used for Lions Park. He explained the community build began today. <br />Larry Benson, Lisa Kittleson and Michelle Norman, New Brighton Lions, presented the City Council with a <br />check in the amount of $25,000. <br />Mayor Johnson thanked the Lions for the great work they do in the community. She stated she was a proud <br />member of the New Brighton Lions Club. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen appreciated the great spirit of community the Lions Club created through their <br />investments in the City. He thanked them for their generous donation to Lions Park. <br />Councilmember Burg asked how the public could support the Lions. Mayor Johnson stated New Brighton <br />residents could become a member, join in a Lions activity or participate in charitable gambling at Adagio’s. <br /> <br /> 2.
